tears of joy skimmed down olivia’s cheeks as she logged onto tumblr and noticed a vibrant red ‘1’ highlighting the top of the screen
tense filled the air and she swallowed deeply as her cursor moved towards the envelope shape
clicking forcefully on the shape, sweat began to appear on her face as she wondered what type of message would be awaiting behind that load
was it hate?
more sweat began to develop on her forehead, and her pupils burst into fireworks as she read the message
it was spam
she thrust her laptop out of the window in devastation, she was distraught
a thick cracking noise ran though her ears and flew in circles around her brain
she lept from the comfort of bed and sprinted out of the house, desperate to see what state her laptop was in
scattered all over her garden was tiny pieces of shimmering metal that had sprung free from the device as it hit the ground
olivia’s knees began shake and they soon gave in, hitting the cold stone floor with a loud thump
more tears ran down her face as she picked up some of the metal and let it slip through her fingertips
she whispered into the air
